Lego has refused to fulfill a special order for activist artist Ai Weiwei. The company says that it avoids “actively engaging in or endorsing the use of LEGO bricks in projects or contexts of a political agenda.” Ai, though, has called the decision “an act of censorship and discrimination,” and many see it as the latest example of Western corporate and governmental “kowtowing” to a rising China
